Mass Spectrum

Mass Spectrum Definition:

In mass spectrometry, a plot that shows the relative abundance of each cation that was detected.

Mass Spectrum Explained:

An area that represents the chemical analysis in a plot. The spectrum shows the distribution of ions by their (mass to charge ratio) within a sample. Each substance differs between the other because they all have the contrary mass to charge ratios, so they are not the same when they appear in the spectrum.
