A process in which a carboxylic acid is converted into an ester when treated with an alcohol in the presence of an acid catalyst.

Fischer Esterification Explained:

The conversion of carboxylic acid to esters using acids and alcohol. When a Carboxyl acid is treated by with alcohol and an acid catalyst it forms into an ester and water.
