Anti-Conformation Definition:

A conformation in which the dihedral angle between the two groups is 180°.

Anti-Conformation Explained:

As you can see in the diagram above, the two methyl groups are opposite of each other (anti) 180 degrees. The methyl groups are farthest from each other, resulting in less interaction. This indicates that the anti-conformation is the most stable position.
